Mountain Lion, Swift Fox Hunting to Close in Northcentral Montana

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Hunting seasons will close on Saturday evening in hunting districts 4 and 6. A press release says that Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is closing the hunting of all mountain lions in hunting district 4 will close at a half-hour after sunset on Saturday, January 26th. This district in northcentral Montana includes portions of Cascade, Chouteau, Judith Basin, and Fergus Counties.

The season for taking swift fox in a portion of Trapping District 6 in northestern Montana will close at midnight on the evening of Saturday, January 26th. This district includes potions of Blaine, Hill, Phillips, and Valley counties.
