The MSU Northern Football staff will be hosting a youth football camp at Tilleman Field on Saturday. The camp is for kids in grades K through 12. MSU Northern Head Football Coach Jerome Souers says the camp will age specific. “We will have High School prospects there that will be processed a little differently in the way we evaluate and the way we instruct, and then we have the younger group, the primary school youngsters where the experience will be based on great participation and sportsmanship. It’s a camp for all ages.” Coach Souers says the goal of the camp on Saturday is two-fold. ” We want to build a relationship not just with next year’s Seniors but with all underclassmen that are interested in preparing for college. Being a better football player in High School helps you promote an opportunity for scholarship or participation in college football later and then of course in youth sports, is promoting a healthy experience of learning the values that the game can give back.” Registration for the camp is Saturday morning at Tilleman Field. Activities are from 9am to 1pm. T-shirts and drink will be provided.
