The MSU-N Skylights volleyball program is playing its first match in almost two weeks. The team will travel down to Dillon to take on Montana Western.
The Bulldogs swept the Skylights on September 22nd. Head coach Jerry Wagner broke down some of the reasons why his team was not able to win that night at the Armory Gymnasium.
“I didn’t think we were executing the things the things that we wanted to,” Wagner said. “(Like) serving, the right people, responding better to different patterns that they were running sooner. Just being a bit more resilient and transition at a higher level.”
Wagner gives a scouting report of his team’s road trip and what makes the Bulldogs so tough at home.
“They’re experienced; so are we to an extent,” Wagner said. “We’re much more experienced now after playing them than we were before.”
“I like our chances no matter where we play with this team,” Wagner continued. “Going down to Dillon (are) just hard fought games and those who work the hardest are going to win.”
Wagner and the Skylights (9-11, 1-4 Frontier) will be in Dillon on Friday night to play against Montana Western (16-3, 3-2 Frontier) before returning home next week for the annual “Pink Game” against Montana Tech. Stay tuned to New Media Broadcasters for more stories on the next game.
