MSU-Northern And Overall Results From College Rodeo National Finals

The College Rodeo National Finals concluded in Casper, Wyoming on Saturday night. Here are some notable results and national champions:

Breakaway Roping
Skylight Junior Mikenna Schauer scored a 11 and 9 in her final run to put her total at 29.4, which was good for eight place.

Senior Mikayla Farkas of West Hills College had a 2.7 on her final run to get an aggregate of 10.9 and take home the title.

Goat Tying
Mikenna Schauer had a final run of 7 and 6 to be at 26.9 and a 12th place overall finish.

Senior Paige Rasmussen of Montana State University scored a 24 and 3 aggregate score to win the title.

Bareback Bronc Riding
Freshman Weston Timberman of Claredon College rode a final score of 84.5 to win on aggregate with 325 points.

Tie Down Roping
Junior Kincade Henry of Texas A&M-Commerce won his second straight national championship with an aggregate score of 35 and 8 and a total of 340 points.

Steer Wrestling
West Alabama’s Joshua Ellison score a 26 aggregate to take the national championship.

Barrel Racing
The University of West Alabama’s Tacie Matthews ran a 13.94 and 55.53 overall in the four rounds and won the national championship

Bull Riding
Tristen Hutchings, a senior from Sul Ross State University, won with an overall score of 236.0. It was his 2nd natty in three years.

Saddle Bronc Riding
Damian Brennan of Western Texas College and Quintin McWhorter of Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo tied and were involved in a ride-off.
