MSU-Northern Approves Remodeled Fall 2020 Schedule

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – This week Montana State University-Northern approved a schedule for the fall 2020 semester.

This remodeled schedule will increase class time from 50 to 55 minutes and will include face-to-face lectures and labs.

MSU-Northern Chancellor Greg Kegel said, “Our goal for this fall is to provide every MSU-Northern student a safe, high quality learning experience, no matter how the circumstances unfold. This challenge provides us with an opportunity to model the value of flexibility for our students.”

All face-to-face lectures will begin August 31 and will end Tuesday, November 24.

After Thanksgiving break, students will resume classes off campus and will take their final exams remotely until the semester concludes December 8.

Class curriculum will change slightly as well with the majority of assignments being due toward the beginning of the semester instead of the end. Faculty and staff will be attending summer workshops to continue to develop these top-heavy course models.

Moving forward, MSU-Northern said they will continue to mold and adopt safety measures to keep students and faculty safe as everyone enters the new school year.
