HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – MSU-Northern has detailed their plans for commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 1st.
In order to reduce the number of people in the Armory Gymnasium, Northern is holding two ceremonies: the first taking place at 10 AM and the second at 2 PM.
The first ceremony is for graduates of the College of Arts, Sciences & Education and the College of Health Sciences, and will be headlined by speaker Erica McKeon-Hanson of the Little River Institute.
The second ceremony is for graduates of the College of Technical Sciences, with junior Alex Breding scheduled to speak. Breding was wone of 10 students to receive a Student Excellence Award for 2021.
Northern was unable to hold a ceremony in 2020 due to the pandemic, so this ceremony is a combination of students from the graduating classes of 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Masks are required for all in attendance, and the ceremonies are not open to the public. Each graduate is allowed five guests. The ceremonies will be streamed live on Youtube.
MSU-Northern has 633 students eligible to receive a total of 1,081 degrees.
