MSU-Northern Rodeo Roping in the Community

Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern rodeo is set to host their Big Sky Region rodeo this weekend. While this is a college event and competition, MSU-Northern head coach Doug Kellenberger wants to involve the community as much as possible.

“hopefully a good show you know we’re trying our best. We have the Tanner Laws band coming in on Saturday night so after the rodeo you gotta take a concert. We have the big screen we have some ax we’re gonna do some miniature Indian relay races. We’re bringing some sheep riding into it for like a the little little kids. So we’re trying to make this a community event you know it is a college event but we’re also trying to bring the community in as a whole together. So hopefully we just produce a good fun time and something for everybody to join the spring and come out and support the team.”

The rodeos will begin at 7p.m. both nights inside the Bigger Better Barn at the Great Northern Fairgrounds. Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for students, and kids age 10 and under are free. you can find more information on the MSU-Northern Rodeo Facebook page.
