Havre, MT – On Friday July 17, Montana State University-Northern athletics announced their 2026 Hall of Fame Class.
This year’s class features six athletes and or staff members who left a lasting impact on Northern Lights and Skylights athletics. Today we recognize Sierra (Richards) Woodward of Skylights basketball and the athletic department facility.
Sierra Woodward joined the Skylights basketball program in 2015 and was a key contributor to the program in her two seasons. She helped lead the team to back-to-back NAIA Tournaments including a sweet 16 appearance.
Playing in the post Sierra was named a Second Team All-Frontier conference selection and was a NAIA All-American Honorable Mention.
Since her time as a Skylight athlete, Sierra, joined the Northern coaching staff as a graduate assistant. She eventually made her way to associate head coach of the skylights program.
As part of the MSU-Northern facility, Woodward, is the current Sports Information Director serving the department and media with above and beyond type dedication.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Friday, September 4, and all inductees will be recognized during halftime of MSU-Northern football’s first home game against Montana Western on Saturday, September 5.
