HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Montana State University-Northern announced it has received a total of nearly $2,177,000 in support for a new on-campus sports complex after launching fundraising efforts last January. A press release says the estimated cost of the first phase of the project is $3 million, leaving about $823,000 before construction begins.
Northern’s Alumni Foundation also announced its largest single gift to date last week. Frances Baltrusch of Havre contributed $500,000 to the effort, making her gift one of the largest from an individual supporter in Northern’s 90-year history.
They hope to raise the balance of the funds needed by early spring 2020 to allow for construction to be completed before the 2020 season.
