BIGFORK, Mont. — Governor Greg Gianforte joined state and local leaders Wednesday to celebrate the opening of Bigfork’s new steel-truss bridge.
The original 1912 structure was closed earlier this year due to safety concerns.
Rebuilt ahead of schedule by Battle Ridge Builders, the updated bridge maintains the historic design while improving safety and access.
MDT Director Chris Dorrington praised the partnership that made the project possible.
The bridge replacement is part of broader infrastructure investments prioritized by the Gianforte administration.
