New Child Passenger Safety Law in Effect October 1st

(NMB) The new Montana child passenger safety law, House Bill 586 goes into effect on October 1st. This new state law requires children are rear facing from

birth until age 2, forward facing from ages two to 4, and in a booster seat from ages 4 until 9. Incorrect car seat use may result ina fine of up to 100.00 dollars, if not

corrected in seven days. Parents and caregivers may choose to keep children in each stage longer for better protection. If you want to make sure your car seat is
