HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Great Northern Fair has hired Frank English as their new manager and Fair Board Chairman Tyler Smith says English is already hard at work on the fairgrounds. He was chosen from two applicants as the Board believed his skills best matched the current needs of the Fair.
“The Fair is set, but there’s a lot of maintenance and, you know, grounds activities that he’s essentially taking care of now. So, I mean, he’s very busy. He’s up there, you know, all week just getting things ready to go for the fair.”
Smith says they made a list of priorities this spring after hearing from the public, and they will meet all of those goals.
“Better signage, the repair of asphalt, a way to convey people around, and get the Internet, as I mentioned, up and going. And those are the four big items that were talked about at our spring listening session.”
Smith says they will have Wi-Fi available on the fairgrounds this year. Parking passes will go on sale next week at IGA, the Hill County Courthouse, Lakeside Excavation, Diesel Doctor, and Stromberg’s Sinclair.
