(Great Falls) – The Chinook Sugar Beeters Boys and Girls Track Team competed in the Districk 1-B meet on Thursday in Great Falls and had a great showing. Carson Nissen was a dual winner on the day placing first in the 200 meters and the long jump. The other dual winner for the Sugarbetters came on the Girls side as Hannah Schoen placed 1st in the shot put and discus. After the District meet the following Sugarbeeters are pre-qualified in various events for the state meet in Missoula Memorial Day Weekend. On the Boys side state qualifiers are Nissen, Jameson Nordboe, Patrick McKenzie, and Oliver Standiford. The girls who have pre- qualified for the state meet are Neva (Nee-Va) Lowe, Ashlyn Ford, Alexus Seymour, Schoen, and Charley Nissen. The next action for the Sugarbeeter track teams will be the divisional meet this week.
