NMHC Breaks Ground for Operating Room and ICU Expansion

(Havre) – Northern Montana Health Care broke ground on their operating room and Intensive Care Unit expansion on Monday. NMHC Chief Executive officer Dr. Kevin Harada said that Northern Montana Health Care sees a bright future for Rural Health Care and this expansion is a commitment to the communities NMHC serves.

According to representatives from A&E Design and Sletten Construction, this expansion will remodel 18,000 square feet of the existing Northern Montana Hospital campus while adding 31,000 square feet of new space, for a total of almost 50,000 square feet. The expansion will include four robot assisted operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms, and an on-site pharmacy. The Northern Montana Health Care OR and ICU Expansion is expected to take two and a half years to complete, and Sletten Construction started work on the project today.
