(Havre) – Northern Montana Healthcare recently graduated the first class of medical assistant apprentices in the State of Montana. NMHC Chief Executive Officer and President Dr. Kevin Harada, explains what roles medical assistants play at NMHC clinics.
“So, we utilize medical assistants in the clinic area, and they help run our clinic. They help room patients and take care of patients and work with our provider staff to bring our community into our clinics and provide care.”
The medical assistant apprentice program was developed in partnership with the Montana Department on Labor and Industry and will be a template for other medical apprentice programs in the state.
