NMHC Presents Latest C.A.R.E. Award to Yvonne Nelson

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Northern Montana Health Care (NMHC) has presented their latest C.A.R.E. Award to Certified Nursing Assistant and Medication Aide Yvonne Nelson, a member of the Care Center Team at Northern Montana Hospital.

Nelson was nominated by her co-workers, who say she has also been working as an instructor for nursing students.

Assistant Director of Nursing Stephanie Stevenson (RN) added that Nelson, “cares deeply for her residents and their families and attends to the little details that sets her care above. Not only has she revamped some of the teaching methods we use in our CNA training, she then makes herself available to the new CNAs when they start on the floor as a mentor.”

The “C.A.R.E.” Award was started as part of NMHC’s Customer Service Group, “The High Five Club”. “C.A.R.E.” stands for Compassionately Achieving Remarkable Excellence. The purpose of this bi-monthly recognition award is to acknowledge employees who have served at NMHC in an exceptional manner by exemplifying outstanding service through his or her work, and consistently exhibiting a positive and supportive attitude.
