Northern “B” Track Day 1

Northern B track and field athletes were in Great Falls to kick off the Divisional Track meet on Friday. Top six placers in each event earn the right to move on to the State B & C track meet in Missoula.

In boy’s competition, Carson Nissen of Chinook placed 3rd in the 100 meter. Ethan Walker of Harlem took the victory in the 1600 meter, with fellow Wildcat Jayvon Big Knife claiming 5th, and Britt Powell of Chinook coming in 6th. Carson Nissen was the victor in the Triple Jump.

For girl’s events, Charley Nissen of Chinook placed 4th in the 100 meter, as well as coming in 2nd in the 400 meter. Three Lady Beeters advanced in the 1600 meters, with Ashlyn Ford taking 2nd, Alexus Seymour right behind in 3rd, and Neva Lowe claiming 5th. Hannah Schoen threw the Shot Put for 3rd place, and Harlem’s Amara Cochran took 6th. Raelynn Briere of the Wildcats had the 6th place Long Jump.

The Northern B divisionals will continue Saturday in Great Falls, with final results on New Media Broadcasters when they become available.
