Havre, MT – With Spring fully in the rear view and summer is starting to fly bye, Montana State University-Northern Lights football is looking at their seniors to lead the offseason both on and off the field.
Entering his third full season as defensive coordinator for the Lights, Dylan Wampler is excited about the experience this year’s roster holds and how it will build a foundation for what hopes to be a program changing season.
“With the defensive side of the ball we have so many returners, it’s getting the new guys caught up in how we do our standards and how we uphold it. It’s going to be a lot of these older guys that have three or four years now and they have earned my trust they’ve earned Souers trust and they have the team’s trust of leading the way and that’s how it should be.” Coach Wampler stated.
“The biggest part is getting them part of that comradery which is Souers biggest thing it’s part of our core. And that’s coming from our vets on offense and defense, but the biggest thing is getting these guys caught up to speed on game plan what we’re doing, how we do things and then getting them apart of the family.” Wampler said regarding the addition of the freshman and transfers.
Caoch Wampler recruited one freshman for every defensive position in hopes of building a bright future around Hi-line and Montana players. MSU-Northern Lights football will kick off the season in 64 days at Carroll College August 27.
