(NMB) The Havre Northstars American Legion Baseball Team has had a busy couple of weeks and have been playing some really good baseball. They find themselves 13-5 and 1 and are unbeaten in their last 11 games including 4 conference wins this week. They will get a break from conference play this weekend as they travel to Three Forks to take part in the Gallatin Valley tournament where they will play 5 games Friday through Sunday. Head Coach Ryan Divish says it’s another opportunity to see some good competition and possibly some teams they could face in the postseason.
“Kind of just looking at these as opportunities to see some really good competition and seeing some teams we could see in the future if we make the State tournament. The big thing about tournaments like this tournament in Three Forks is we’ll see teams from the West that are really good and gives us an opportunity to see better pitching at times and just see how we react to it. I think that’s the big thing.”
Teams the Northstars will play this weekend in Three Forks are a non-conference game with Lewistown, Cody,Wyoming, Gallatin Valley, Billings Blue Jays and the Bitteroot Red Sox. New Media Brodcasters will have results as they are available.
