(NWS) Springtime temperatures are here for the week, with highs in the 40s and low 50s.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with National Weather Service of Great Falls Meteorologist Cody Moldan, who says that the sudden spike in temperatures can also cause concerns for driving conditions.
“So certainly you’ll be dealing with some low level ponding at the very least if not low-land flooding. We have had some reports out of Liberty, Hill and Blaine counties of some roads being covered by water. That’s most likely due to poor drainage of not only the soil, given temperatures, but also due to blocked culverts, [which] gives the water nowhere to go.”
Water flooding roads will make them impassible, which will require detours to be set up for that route until the situation is handled.
