HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Sunday morning, an Oklahoma man was arrested after leaving a vehicle running in front of the BNSF Diesel Shop in Havre. 31-year-old Anthony Levi Lawson of Woodward, Oklahoma has been charged with obstructing a peace officer, resisting arrest, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended or revoked license. As of Monday morning, Lawson was being held in the Hill County Detention Center on a $2,125 bond.
Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich says they received a call from BNSF saying a man had left a red Ford pickup running in front of the diesel shop. The truck had started rolling backwards and an employee jumped in and stopped the truck.
Lawson had apparently walked south on 1st Street and was later arrested. The police later learned that Lawson did not have permission to drive the truck, but the owners of the vehicle decided not to press charges.
