HELENA, Mont. — A 41-year-old pedestrian from East Helena died in a crash early Saturday morning near Helena.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the incident happened just after midnight on York Road near Olsen Road.
The pedestrian had exited a non-contact vehicle and was walking westbound when they were struck by a Dodge Journey, also headed west.
The individual was hit by the vehicle’s front bumper and thrown approximately 50 to 100 feet.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
No injuries were reported for the driver.
The crash remains under investigation.
