POLSON, Mont. (NMB) – The City of Polson has declared a water emergency due to “extraordinary demand and an inability to fill water reserves to an adequate level for fire protection and operational purposes.”
As a result, Polson is prohibiting all unnecessary use of water and is shutting off water for dozens of residents for up to 12 hours in order to fill critically low tanks.
Prohibited use of water includes watering residential and commercial lawns and washing vehicles. Fresh and sensitive landscaping should be watered only as needed for survival.
