Ponies Softball Season Comes to End

(NMB) The Havre Blue Pony Softball season came to an end on Friday at the Hamilton Sports Complex. The Ponies won their opening round game on Thursday, a 6-0 Shut out over Butte Central but couldn’t get the offense going on Friday and suffered a 15-1 loss versus Frenchtown and a 12-3 loss to Polson, knocking them out of the State Tournament. Frenchtown scored 8 runs in the 4th inning and the Ponies struggled to get the offense going. Avery Carlson was the bright spot picking up two hits in three at bats. Against Polson it was a five run 6th inning that propelled to Pirates to the win. Havre did get 8 hits in the game. Jersi Morse and Avery Carlson each had two hits. The Blue Ponies finish the year with a 15-9-1 record and won the Northeast “A” Division for the first time.
