Ponies VB 3rd at Blocktoberfest

(NMB) The Havre Blue Ponies Volleyball team won four of five matches on Saturday to finish in 3rd place at the Blocktoberfest Volleyball Classic in Butte. The top 9 teams from Friday’s pool play advanced to Saturday’s Championship Bracket. Havre dropped their first match to Billings Central 2 sets to 1. (21-25, 25-12, 15-13). Havre then knocked out Whitefish (25-14, 25-18). Dawson County (25-22, 25-9), and Laurel (25-9, 24-26, 15-12), and would earn a rematch with Billings Central in the consolation final which Havre won 20-25, 25-20 and 15-8 to win the third-place trophy. The Blue Ponies will be back on the Court on Friday and Saturday October 21st and 22nd when they host Browning and Sidney in the Blue Pony Gym.
