(Lockwood) – After defeating Lockwood and losing to Billings Central on Thursday at the Eastern A Volleyball Divisional, the Havre Blue Ponies faced the Dawson County Red Devils in a loser out contest on Friday afternoon.
After Dawson County captured the first two sets Havre battled back taking sets three and four to force the deciding 5th set. The Red Devils earned the victory in the 5th, advancing in the tournament and securing a state tournament berth. The match scores were: 19-25, 16-25, 25-21 25-18, and 6-15.
Kyanna Jarvis had a balanced overall match with ten kills, fifteen digs, four blocks, and two aces. Britton Elliott contributed four kills, fourteen digs, one block, one assist, and one ace in the match. Libero Adi Olson dug the balls thirty times and added four assists in the match.
Friday afternoon’s loss ends the Blue Ponies 2023 volleyball campaign.
