(NMB) The Havre Blue Pony Girls Basketball team, fresh off their First Eastern “A Divisional Championship since 2018, now turns their attention to defending their back-to-back State Championships. Head Coach Dustin Kraske (Crass-Key) was pleased with the teams entire effort at the divisional tournament, particularly their defense. The Ponies first round opponent is The Browning Lady Indians, a team they split with during the regular season. Coach Kraske knows to be successful in the opening round and throughout the tournament his team will have to keep up the defensive intensity and share the ball on offense.
“I know it’s kind of a broken record but on offense we have to share the ball and limit turnovers and shoot good shots. It’s not quite as simple as that, but that is what we’re striving on.”-Kraske
Havre will play Browning in the opening round of the State Class “A” Girls Basketball tournament at 5pm Tonight (Thursday) in Bozeman. You can hear all of Havre’s games on KOJM and Hi Line Today dot com.
