HAVRE, Mont (NMB) – 
Port of Sweetgrass U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations announced the seizure of LSD and marijuana on Monday April 8th, 2019.
CBP officers at the Sweetgrass Port of Entry encountered a male US citizen who declared he was returning from Alaska. Upon suspicion of his story, officers requested further inspection.
A K-9 agent was alerted to the presence of narcotics during the secondary inspection of the vehicle. CBP officers located hundreds of tabs of LSD as well as marijuana and drug-related paraphernalia.
Daniel Escobedo, Area Director for the Port of Sweetgrass said, “I’m proud of the enforcement our officers are doing keeping these very dangerous drugs off of our streets and out of our communities.”
CBP officers arrested the man and turned him over to the Toole County Sheriff’s Office for local prosecution.
