RED LODGE, Mont. (NMB) – A portion of the Beartooth Highway, which connects Red Lodge with the northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park, has closed for the season.
The stretch of the Highway between the Top of the World Store and the Montana/Wyoming state line closed on Thursday morning due to ice and snow in the forecast. The road was scheduled to close on October 12th.
Travel east of Cooke City, Montana to Chief Joseph Scenic Byway is possible until early November.
