FORT BELKNAP, Mont. (NMB) – The Fort Belknap Election Committee has released the results from the November 16th primary election for the final open Tribal Council seat.
There were six candidates entered in the race for a two-year term in the seat representing Assiniboine At-Large/Elected by Assiniboine voters only.
The two candidates advancing to the December 14th General Election are Curtis Horn, who received 109 votes, and Cheryl D. Horn, who received 53 votes. Alan “Al” K.C. Kulbeck finished in third, with 51 votes.

The Election Committee says in-person voting for the general election will be from 8 AM-8 PM on December 14th.
The race for this seat on the Council is being held now because of the lack of candidates prior to the original filing deadline.
