(Havre) The Hill County Public Safety Committee met on March 19th, their first meeting since January.
On the topic of old business, the committee is deciding on the location of handicap parking near the courthouse, which will be painted by the City of Havre once that decision has been made.
Panic Buttons were up for discussion during this meeting, where Mark Peterson told those in attendance that their first quote regarding instillation was $200 per button. Peterson went on to explain that it’s not the number of buttons they’re concerned about, but rather the location of the buttons. No action was taken on this agenda item.
The committee also noted that the HVAC upgrades for the second and third floor of the building will take place from June through October and said this will impede county operations. New Media Broadcasters will keep you updated as that information comes.
Mosquito and Weed inspections took place directly after the meeting, results to be discussed at the next meeting.
The next meeting is scheduled for April 23rd.
