Red Cross Urges Blood Donations After Hurricane Dorian

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – As the American Red Cross works around the clock supporting those impacted by Hurricane Dorian, individuals outside the affected areas are urged to help by giving blood or platelets to ensure patients in the storm’s path have access to lifesaving blood.

Blood donation opportunities will be held in Havre on Thursday, September 12th at Triangle Communications from 9 AM to 3 PM. In Cut Bank on Wednesday, September 18th, people can donate blood at the Civic Center from 11 AM to 5:30 PM. On Thursday the 19th, blood donations will be accepted in Choteau at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 11 AM to 5:30 PM.

Appointments can be made by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
