(NMB) The Havre Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign was short of it’s $45,000 dollar goal this year. The campaign raised $24,500 dollars. Havre Salvation Army Director Trina Crawford tells us what the shortfall could mean.
“What that means for us is unless we can raise that additional money throughout the year that we are not going to be able to help people as much as we would be able to if we had that extra money.”
100 percent of the money raised stays in the Havre community and helps with the emergency services that the Salvation Army provides like rental assistance, trying to keep people in their homes so they don’t become homeless, transportation costs, it can help with medical, anything that a person may need to help bridge the gap.
Crawford says people can still give to the Red Kettle campaign. Simply mark your gift as Red Kettle Campaign. The Havre Salvation Army phone number is 406-265-1011
