Region 6 Volunteer Hunter Education Instructors Honored

GLASGOW, Mont. (NMB) – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks honored the service of its region 6 Hunter and Bowhunter Education volunteer instructors at the annual workshop, which was held February 9th in Glasgow.

The workshop is an annual event that invites all the volunteer instructors across the region for a day filled with visiting, updates to the program, demonstrations of new equipment and ideas, and honoring years of service.

Highlighting this awards were Gifford Fjeld of Hinsdale and Donald Holden of Havre, who have been hunting instructors for 20 and 25 years respectively. The Region 6 instructor of the year award was given to Joe Yeoman of Valley County.

Scott Thompson was recognized for 15 years of service, Alex Burke was recognized for 10 years of teaching, and Tyler Hillman was recognized for 5 years of teaching Hunters Education. All three are from Valley County. Dirk Monson from Valley county was also recognized for 5 years of teaching Bowhunters Education.
