Rematch Between Chinook and Choteau Basketball Remains The Same

It was another split set of games for the Chinook basketball teams on Thursday night. In a rematch of games played on Dec. 1, the same results occurred as the Lady Beeters destroyed the Choteau Lady Bulldogs, (63-26), while the Beeters Boys fell to the Bulldogs, (57-37).

For the Lady Beeters (11-0, 7-0 in Class 1B), they led by as many as 42 points and unofficially forced 31 turnovers on their opponent. Senior Forward Hallie Neibauer played an entire first half where she scored 15 points on her way to 19 for the game. Junior guard Alexus Seymour was also in double-figures with 17. Junior center Hannah Schoen also had 10 points for Chinook.

For the Beeter boys’ (2-9, 0-7), they let the third quarter slip away as Choteau outscored them, (19-9) in the frame. Just like in the first matchup, senior center Jackson Nordboe was the scoring leader for Chinook with 15 points. Senior guard Gyme Kelly joined Nordoe in double-figures with 10 points. Rusch Yeager was the scoring leader for Choteau, putting in 15 points in the final 24 minutes of play.

Chinook is a third of the way down now with their game slate for the week as they’ll have contests against Conrad at home and Rocky Boy on the road Friday and Saturday. All games can be heard on KRYK-101.3FM and HiLineToday.com.
