(Havre) Secondary Highway 232, the road that leads to the Wildhorse Port on the Canadian Border, will receive some new work this year after a bidder was settled on earlier this year.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Hill County Commissioner Jake Strissel for more.
“232 has been a project that’s been on our list for quite a few years now, I believe there doing, say, nine miles. I do know that it’s going to be around 2.1 million dollars a mile”
This project is looking to begin in April, according to Strissel, and will slow down traffic during the construction.
The project looks to fill in the deep sides of the road, which Strissel says will make the roadway more safe those traveling on it.
