ROCKY BOY, Mont. (NMB) – The Rocky Boy Health Center announced on Friday that they had confirmed 11 new COVID-19 cases, all found through contact tracing.
Rocky Boy has reported 103 total COVID-19 cases. 26 are active, all but one of which reside on the Reservation. 75 have recovered and two have died.
All positives from Rocky Boy are reported to the county the person resides (either Hill or Chouteau), as well as the state of Montana, who then reports to the public.
Hill County reported seven new cases on Friday, all through contact tracing. It is unclear how many of the seven are from Rocky Boy. Hill County has reported 134 total COVID-19 cases. 32 are active, including three hospitalizations. 99 have recovered and three have died.
Chouteau County did not provide a COVID-19 update on Friday afternoon. As of Thursday, there were eight active cases in the County.
Meanwhile, Blaine County reported two new COVID-19 cases on Friday. The Blaine County Health Department says, “early case investigation reveals likely exposures through workplace contact and travel.”
All contacts of the new Blaine County cases have been notified and advised to quarantine.
Blaine County has reported 17 total COVID-19 cases. Two are active and 15 have recovered.
