Craig Allen McCrea, of Ronan, has been found guilty of starting wildfires in 2021.
McCrea was convicted of two counts of arson in Lake County District Court, the Boulder 2700 fire near Polson, and he Finley fire in Missoula County.
According to court documents, over 100 hours of footage taken by a local woman were collected by detectives. The woman later admitted being with McCrea at the scene of each fire. She said McCrea would exit the car and use a torch to set the fire. The woman was not charged in any of the incidents.
Sentencing has been set for May 3rd.
