(Lincoln) – The Helena Lewis Clark National Forest reports that the lighting caused Sandbar 2 fire 15 miles East of Lincoln, is now 45% contained.
Fire crews have been working on the West flank of the fire securing and strengthening hand and bulldozer containment line while mopping up hot spots. On the eastern flank of the fire crews have been patrolling and mopping up hot spots.
There are no road or trail restrictions currently, but the Helena Lewis Clark National Forest asks that you proceed with caution. The temporary flight restriction for drones and private aircraft has been rescinded.
