HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The deadline for High School students to apply for scholarships offered by the Havre Public Schools Education Foundation is just a few days away.
HPSEF Executive Director Amanda Meyer says dozens of scholarships are available.
“We have 25 scholarships being offered, but many of them have more than one award being given. So we should be giving out more than 30 different awards this year totaling about $45,000.”
Meyer adds that criteria for each scholarship is different, so there should be something for every student to apply for.
“Ranging from academics and majors and extracurricular activities. All of these are sponsored by different donors that have created these scholarships to help fund future student academics. So I’m very excited about this year’s awards.”
Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on April 1st. Recipients are selected by the scholarship donor or the HHS Scholarship Committee. Awards will be presented at a ceremony in late-May.
