Senate passed HB 300

(Helena) The Senate passed legislation on Thursday that Republicans say protects women’s sports programs in Montana from intrusion by biological men.

House Bill 300 prohibits biological men from participating in women’s sports programs, protecting the safety and competitiveness of female athletes.

The bill also requires educational institutions to provide sex-segregated facilities – such as restrooms, locker rooms, and sleeping quarters – based on biological sex.

The passing of this bill sends it to the Governor’s desk to be signed into law.
