HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) is urging Medicare beneficiaries to think twice before falling for COVID-19 scams.
SMP wants to remind seniors to guard their Medicare information and to be wary that there are scammers walking door-to-door saying they supposedly have COVID-19 testing equipment, cures and supplies.
If you suspect you were scammed and offered fake COVID-19 test kits or vaccines call 1-800-551-3191.
SMP also wants to remind seniors that they are not sending out any new, plastic or microchipped Medicare Cards – these are sent by scammers.
