HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Less than a month remains until the deadline to file for the 2020 election in Montana, and several candidates have filed in the last few weeks across the Hi-Line.
In Hill County, Republican Mark Wicks of Inverness has filed to be the District 1 County Commissioner. This seat represents western Hill County and is currently held by Democrat Mike Wendland of Rudyard. Wendland has yet to file for re-election.
In Blaine County, incumbent Democrat Tami Sue Mitchell has filed for re-election as Clerk of District Court. She will face off against fellow Democrat Jim Doyle in the June 2 primary.
In Chouteau County, Democrat Jodie Butler has filed to be the Public Administrator. She is the only candidate to have filed for this race.
The deadline to file is March 9.
