HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A Sunday afternoon fire about 15 miles south of Havre led to a building being a total loss.
Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department Chief Josh Bebee says his Department received a call of the fire at around 2 PM at a shop on the 8000 block of Bullhook Road.
By the time they arrived, the shop had already been completely engulfed and had fallen in on itself.
Bear Paw, along with the Wild Horse, Kremlin, and Havre Fire Departments, worked to provide structure protection to other outbuildings in the area and contain the fire. Authorities were on the scene until around 7 PM. In total, 22 firefighters and 10 fire trucks responded to the scene.
The shop was a complete loss. Vehicles that were burned included two pickups, a tractor and a loader.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
