Skylight Basketball In New Frontier

Havre, MT – As the Frontier Conference expands to 12 teams schedules are drastically changing, and for Montana State University-Northern Skylights basketball program there is one thing to look forward to.

The frontier conference has undergone a major change in 2025 adding six new teams and doubling the size of the conference. With the addition of schools from Nebraska and both Dakota’s Skylights basketball at MSU-N will see a change in the schedule that could be very favorable.

Head coach of the skylights Chris Mouat says that despite the travel there is one thing him and his team can look forward to this season. ” The best thing they did is we are getting away from playing each other three times,” Mouat said. “and on the women’s side, for sure, we are the number one or two ranked league in the country, so we are playing top-25 teams every week. So the schedule is very difficult. . . I think for us we are looking forward to some new blood.”

Skylights basketball starts conference play in mid November at the University of Providence in Great Falls.
