Havre, MT – The Skylights of MSU-Northern Basketball improved to 4-1 in conference play and 6-2 overall this season. Over the weekend the Skylights collected a pair of double digit wins over Dickinson state (74-54) and Bismarck State (104-80).
The Skylights shot a blistering 48% from three between the two games including 17 made three-pointers vs Bismarck State Sunday afternoon setting a new program record for the most threes made in a single game.
After the game Chris Mouat for the Skylights praised the effort of Bismarck State and the resiliency of his players.
“They (Bismarck) don’t quit. I think they went 7 for 10 in the third quarter. Proud of the way our kids responded in the fourth quarter and we’re able to put the game away.”
Next in line on the Schedule for the Skylights is No. 4 Dakota State and Bellevue University Friday and Saturday December 12 and 13. Tipoff for both games is 5p.m. The skylights defeated Bellevue on the road and lost by 18 Dakota State earlier this season.
