Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern Skylights basketball and head coach Chris Mouat have announced the signing of another juco transfer in Jaynee Tanner. She will join the Skylights coming off of a stelar sophomore season at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, Washington.
Tanner dominated scoring the ball, averaging 19.8 points per game, and on the glass collected 16.8 rebounds per game, earning her Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) region MVP. Skylights head coach Chris Mouat told New Media Broadcasters how excited he was to land such a big recruit.
“She’s just a really talented post player. She can step out and shoot the three. Her numbers are off the chart. We were in a big big battle for her with a lot of schools so we’re just really thankful we got her. She is a great girl and again her numbers don’t lie. She’s just done some things that are really impressive and we’re really excited about her.”
Jaynee hales from Spanish Fork, Utah and Maple Mountain High School where she earned multiple all-state selections. In her freshman season at South Puget Sound, Tanner earned freshman of the year and a first team all-conference selection.
Jaynee held a 3.74 GPA and plans on majoring in Integrated Health Science at Northern.
