NMB) The MSU Northern Skylights volleyball team picked up conference win number three on Wednesday night in Helena with a five set win over Carroll College 25-23, 21-25, 15-25, 25-21 and 15-10. In set one the Skylights went on a 10 to 3 run and won the first set 25-23.
After dropping sets two and three, Northern got back on track in set four, jumping out to a 20 to 12 lead and hung on for the fourth set win. The Skylights then took an early lead in the deciding fifth set and never looked back and pulling out the Victory.
Northern was led by Jessa Chvilicek and Alana Graves with 12 and 11 kills respectively. Baily Egan led the team in digs with 31 and Macee Murphy had a team high 27 assists.
With the win the Skylights are now 11 and 13 overall and 3 and 6 in Frontier Conference play.
Northern will play their final conference game at home on Saturday night versus Rocky Mountain College.
