(NMB) The First half of the Frontier Conference Volleyball season is complete. The MSU Northern Skylights are 3 and 2 in conference play, sitting in 3rd place behind 5 and 0 Montanan Tech and 4 and 1 Rocky Mountain College. Head Coach of the Skylights Jerry Wagner says he’s happy with the first half and his team is sitting in a nice spot. “I’m very excited about what we were able to accomplish in the first half of the season. Just been getting a little bit better every week, people are rounding into shape and we’re working through the tough Frontier Conference and sitting in a nice spot.”
The Skylights now have a couple of weeks off before they hit the court again and Wagner says the break is coming at a good time. “Playing in this conference doesn’t go without expending a lot of energy and maybe incurring a few nicks and bruises. So, it’s a great week to get those things behind you. It’s a great week to get ahead in school, it’s a great week to recover and mentally get reay for a strong second half of the conference, which we want to be in that position.”
The Skylights volleyball team’s next match will be at home October 21st against Rocky Mountain College.
