Havre, MT – After a split last week, Skylights volleyball is gearing up for matches against the No.5 and N.24 teams in country.
Last week Montana State University-Northern volleyball lost the season opener to Lewis-Clark State College but bounced back with a win over Walla Walla University.
As part of a four-game weekend in Butte at the big sky challenge, Skylights volleyball starts the weekend with No.24 William Cary University and follows it up with a match against No.5 Eastern Oregon University.
Head Coach of Skylights volleyball, Jerry Wagner, touched on what his team needs to do to compete with anyone.
“First and foremost, the two things are gonna allow us to even be around against anybody is our serve receive and our serving.” Wagner said. ” Those two areas, serve receive and serve have got to be hallmarks of what we do every signal time, before we do too many other things that’s got to be first.”
After the top25 double header, MSU-Northern volleyball will cap off the weekend against Taylor University on Friday at 6p.m. and against Ottawa University Arizona on Saturday at 1p.m. to round out non-conference play.
